Grayson Waller and Austin Theory, the new WWE Tag Team Champions, hope to have a longer title reign than Roman Reigns did.
On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Waller and Theory were presented with the new SmackDown Tag Team Titles, which replaced the ones they won at WrestleMania.
Speaking after this week’s episode of SmackDown, the champs expressed confidence in the future, with Waller making a bold prediction. He said:
“The undefeated tag team champions. It will be a long time. “Roman Reigns’ reign [laughs] isn’t going to be anything like ours.”
Reigns’ 1,316-day reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion came to an end at WrestleMania 40 in an emotional main event that saw Cody Rhodes complete his’story.’
To surpass Reigns’ title run, the tag champs must keep the titles until Saturday, November 13, 2027. They’ll face the Street Profits in their first title defense.
