LATEST UPDATE: Adam Schefter Throws More Gas on the Star to Minnesota Vikings Fire

The Minnesota Vikings will play in three days. We don’t know when or for how long, but Roger Goodell will walk to the platform in Detroit, MI, on Thursday with a new Vikings quarterback in hand. Is that card going to have Jayden Daniels (LSU), Drake Maye (UNC), or JJ McCarthy (Michigan) on it? Perhaps even Bo Nix? We may not know the answer until the pick is called.

But before Roger steps up to the platform with a player card, he’ll most likely be holding a Vikings trade card. One that announces general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah’s promotion. Which other team will appear on that card? That is another question we cannot answer.

Then, on Monday morning, Adam Schefter (ESPN) added fuel to the raging Maye + Vikings fire by confirming that he is hearing the same thing as Volin. That general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah might move up as high as No. 3 if the Patriots are ready to play ball, and that the North Carolina native is their top pick.

Schefty also verifies claims that the Vikings would desire to trade up before the draft, if they can find a willing partner.
