Buffalo Bills’ Travis Clayton did something that no OL prospect has done at combine in decade.

The Buffalo Bills reinforced their offensive line during the latter stages of the 2024 NFL Draft. They allocated three out of their seven picks on offensive linemen on the draft’s concluding day. Among these selections was Travis Clayton, chosen as the 221st pick. Clayton’s background deviates from the norm; he emerged from the International Pathway Program rather than a conventional college football program. Despite his limited football experience, Clayton possesses the innate qualities necessary to potentially excel as a top-tier lineman in the future. Buffalo aims to replicate the success of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018, who discovered Jordan Mailata through the same International Pathway Program.

Standing tall at 6 feet 7 inches and weighing 303 pounds, Travis Clayton immediately grabs attention. His performance during his pro day further solidified his potential. Clayton’s impressive 40-yard dash time of 4.79 seconds surpassed any recorded by an offensive lineman at the NFL Combine in the past decade. His combination of size and athleticism likely attracted interest from numerous teams during this year’s draft.
