BREAKING: Virginia Tech lands commitment for another special player

The Virginia Tech football squad experienced significant retention following the 2023 season, bolstering both their offensive and defensive units. On the defensive front, key players Antwaun Powell-Ryland and Josh Fuga announced their decision to return, reinforcing the team’s defensive line. Despite this, head coach Brent Pry actively pursued additional talent in the transfer portal, securing commitments from Aeneas Peebles, previously with Duke, Kemari Copeland from Iowa Western Community College, and Kelvin Gilliam from Oklahoma, further strengthening the defensive roster.

In a notable development, Pry successfully recruited Khurtiss Perry, a transfer from Alabama, adding another formidable option for opposing teams to contend with in the upcoming season. In addition to Perry, Pry and his coaching staff also secured commitments from offensive lineman Montavious Cunningham from Georgia State and linebacker Sam Brumfield from Middle Tennessee State, further bolstering the team’s overall depth. Furthermore, the recent commitment from quarterback Collin Schlee, who transferred from UCLA, addresses the departure of Dylan Wittke, who entered the spring transfer portal and committed to Minnesota for the 2024 season.
