BREAKING: Bills Urged to Add top experienced Super Bowl Hero WR as Vertical Threat.

The Buffalo Bills have already acquired one wide receiver from a former AFC rival, and a recent report suggests they may pursue another. Bleacher Report analyzed the needs of all 32 teams, highlighting the Bills’ desire for additional support in their deep passing game following the departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. While the report was published before the Bills signed Marquez Valdes-Scantling from the Kansas City Chiefs, it proposed that another Chiefs receiver, Mecole Hardman, could be beneficial for Buffalo.

The report acknowledged the Bills’ efforts to address the loss of Diggs and Davis by selecting Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman with their top draft pick. It also anticipated an expanded role for slot receiver Khalil Shakir after his impressive performance in the previous season.

Although the report recognized Shakir’s efficiency and the potential emergence of Coleman as a primary receiver, it suggested that adding Hardman, while not essential, could further bolster the team’s passing game, particularly as a low-cost veteran option to enhance their vertical threat.

Hardman, a former Pro Bowl special teams player in his rookie season, maintained consistent performance for the Chiefs in his initial three NFL seasons. Despite facing injuries, he amassed 126 receptions, 1,791 yards, and 14 touchdowns across 49 games. However, his productivity declined in subsequent years, notably in 2023, where he recorded only 15 receptions for 124 yards, including minimal contribution during a brief stint with the New York Jets before returning to the Chiefs via trade.
