Langdon Hatton, previously with Bellarmine, committed to Indiana during his official visit today. This decision marks a strategic move by Mike Woodson and his coaching staff, who have been actively reshaping the team roster through the transfer portal this spring. Hatton’s addition could be the final touch to what is being hailed as an outstanding class, joining Oumar Ballo, Kanaan Carlyle, Luke Goode, and Myles Rice. Ranked as the second-best transfer portal haul by 247Sports.com (just behind Arkansas), this four-player class enhances Indiana’s prospects.
Hailing from Georgetown, Indiana, Hatton is a 6’10” power forward/center who attended North Harrison High School, where he faced off against notable players like Purdue’s Trey Kaufman-Renn and Kooper Jacobi of Silver Creek (now at Eastern Illinois). Despite garnering interest from several mid-major programs, Hatton initially chose William & Mary before transferring to Bellarmine after his freshman season.
During his junior year, Hatton showcased his skills with averages of 10.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, 0.8 blocks, 1.3 assists, and 1.0 turnovers per game. His performance marked a significant improvement from previous seasons, where he contributed 4.4 points per game as a freshman and 3.5 as a sophomore.
