Commitment: One of their top key player has Departed to Utah..

In ALT LAKE CITY, the Runnin’ Utes are seeing positive developments following a challenging period, with former Baylor guard Miro Little announcing his commitment via X.

Little’s arrival brings valuable experience from the Big 12 conference, where Utah will compete this season.

During his single year with the Bears, Little averaged seven minutes per game, boasting a 42.9 percent field goal rate, 36 percent accuracy from three-point range, and 72.2 percent success rate from the free-throw line.

The departure of Deivon Smith, who recently committed to St. John’s after entering the NCAA Transfer Portal, has been a significant loss for the Utes in terms of player strength.

Utah’s head coach, Craig Smith, has faced further challenges with the departures of assistant coaches DeMarlo Slocum and Chris Burgess, as well as rising star center Keba Keita entering the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Earlier in the transfer process, Rollie Worster also left, now set to play for Nebraska, alongside Luca Tarlac and Wilguens Exacte.

Moreover, Ben Carlson has retired from basketball to pursue business ventures.

Despite these setbacks, the Utes have welcomed transfers Keanu Dawes and Mason Madsen (twin brother of Gabe Madsen), as well as Zach Keller and Caleb Lohner, to bolster their roster for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
