Approved in: Syracuse has sealed the deal with 4-star transfer center, to Repower their corps of players

“Syracuse basketball enthusiasts, we can now breathe a sigh of relief together. According to social media updates and various reports, it seems that the Orange coaching staff has successfully secured the commitment of four-star transfer center Eddie Lampkin Jr., ending a period of uncertainty and confusion.

Initially reported by Syracuse.com’s Brent Axe and Mike Waters, Lampkin, standing at 6-foot-11 and weighing 265 pounds, visited Syracuse on Thursday to meet with the coaching staff and hopefully finalize his agreement to join the Syracuse basketball roster for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

Speculation had arisen recently regarding Lampkin’s commitment to Syracuse, particularly due to his removal of Syracuse-related content from his social media profiles. There were also rumors circulating about other college teams pursuing Lampkin, possibly offering lucrative name, image, and likeness deals.

However, with Lampkin’s recent social media posts suggesting his commitment to Syracuse, along with reports from reputable analysts like Mike McAllister confirming his reaffirmed commitment, it appears that those uncertainties are now behind us.

In addition to Lampkin, Syracuse basketball coaches are reportedly targeting Georgia State junior guard Lucas Taylor, another four-star transfer prospect who has shown significant interest in joining Syracuse. Taylor, a 6-foot-5 guard weighing 200 pounds, averaged impressive stats during his junior year at Georgia State and may soon take an official visit to Syracuse after the current recruiting dead period ends in June.”
