Breaking: Baylor confirmed Departure of a very special prolific Star.

Catarina Ferreira becomes Oregon State’s latest recruit this offseason, with Scott Rueck and the Beavs securing the skilled guard as a graduate transfer from Baylor. Ferreira, known for her experience and defensive prowess, spent two seasons with the Bears, participating in 38 games and contributing to two NCAA Tournament runs, including a Sweet 16 appearance last season.

Rueck praised Ferreira’s athleticism, defensive abilities, and attacking style of play, expressing excitement about her addition to the team.

In her earlier years at Eastern Arizona College, Ferreira earned recognition as an NJCAA All-American, showcasing her talent on both ends of the court. She cited the strong relationship with coaches, staff, and teammates, as well as the support system provided by Oregon State, as key factors in her decision to join the program.

Before her time at Baylor, Ferreira stood out as one of the top junior college players in the nation, averaging impressive stats and earning various accolades, including All-America honors. Joining Lucia Navarro, Ferreira is the second addition to Oregon State’s 2024-25 roster.
