Aniya Foy, a highly-rated recruit in the 2025 class, has made the decision to join Kansas State University. The 5-foot-11 guard, hailing from Katy, Texas, opted for the Wildcats over offers from North Carolina, Auburn, SMU, and Florida.
Expressing her choice, Foy stated, “Kansas State stood out to me from the moment I set foot on campus. The team’s style of play, coaching staff, and the overall atmosphere felt like the perfect fit for me. I have full confidence in Coach Mittie’s ability to guide me towards my goals.”
Assistant coach Ebony Gilliam took the lead in recruiting Foy, alongside head coach Jeff Mittie. During their recruitment, they emphasized Foy’s potential role within the team’s offense, encouraging her to play her natural game.
Reflecting on her discussions with Coach Mittie, Foy shared, “He envisions me as an aggressive guard who can drive to the basket, shoot efficiently, and contribute in various ways. They’re counting on me to
be a strong playmaker and scorer from the outset.”With her commitment secured, Foy is eager to contribute to the program immediately. “I bring versatility and leadership to K-State. I’m quick to adapt and reliable as an athlete. My focus is on winning games and striving for a championship.”
