During this spring’s AAU circuit, Acaden Lewis, a basketball prospect targeted by Syracuse for 2025 from Washington, D.C., has showcased his skills, earning praise from national analysts and scouts. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches, Lewis, a four-star combo guard, received a scholarship offer from Syracuse in late April, swiftly becoming a key recruit for the program.
Since then, he has attracted attention from other colleges, including Kentucky and Kansas, among others.
Lewis, who excels at Sidwell Friends School in D.C. and plays for Team Durant’s 17U squad in Nike’s EYBL league, recently saw a surge in his national rankings. His growing list of offers includes schools like Pittsburgh, Ole Miss, and Michigan. As the AAU season winds down, Lewis plans to visit Syracuse, Michigan, UConn, and Louisville.
In the 2023-24 season, Lewis led Sidwell Friends to multiple titles and received numerous accolades. He is currently regarded as a top-100 national prospect and one of the top guards in the country.
Recent updates from scouting sources suggest Lewis has climbed in national rankings, catching the attention of programs like Kentucky and Kansas. With Kentucky assistant coach Jason Hart, a former Syracuse basketball star, showing interest, Lewis’ recruitment promises to be interesting.
