Another Devoted sensational player set to land commitment with Hawkeyes

Adie Maki, formerly of Loyola (Illinois), will be joining the University of Iowa women’s golf team this autumn, as announced by head coach Megan Menzel. Maki, with two years of eligibility remaining, brings with her a solid track record.

During her tenure with the Ramblers, Maki maintained an average score of 77.30 across 56 rounds, achieving four top 10 finishes.

Coach Menzel expressed enthusiasm about Maki’s addition, highlighting her strong work ethic and competitive drive.

As a sophomore, Maki recorded a scoring average of 75.59 over 29 rounds, with seven rounds at or below par. Notable performances include a fifth-place tie at the Brittany Kelly Classic and an eighth-place finish at the Butler Fall Invitational.

Originally from Canton, Michigan, Maki significantly improved her performance from freshman to sophomore year, reducing her scoring average by 3.5 strokes. She had a freshman year scoring average of 79.15, highlighted by a tenth-place finish at the Parkinson Invitational.

 

 

In her high school years, Maki demonstrated her talent by qualifying for the 2022 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship and achieving numerous accolades, including school records for lowest individual round and career scoring average at Skyline High School.

She excelled academically as well, receiving SEC All-Scholar Award recognition and being a member of the National Honor Society.
