Breaking: Virginia Tech Complete Another Blockbuster Deal of 4-star All-pro

Over the forthcoming month, recruitment efforts will intensify for Brent Pry, the head football coach at Virginia Tech. One prospective recruit, set to make his decision in June, has unveiled his final three choices, with the Hokies making the cut.

Terrance Edwards, a four-star defensive back hailing from Richmond, Virginia and part of the Class of 2025, disclosed his trio of preferred schools via his X account. Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Michigan State emerged as the finalists. Virginia Tech holds a strong position as a frontrunner to secure his commitment, with an announcement expected on June 22.

Various sports platforms, including 247Sports Crystal Ball Prediction and On3 Sports, have forecasted Virginia Tech as Edwards’ likely selection, particularly given his official visit to the campus in March.

Edwards represents a promising addition to Virginia Tech’s defensive setup, anticipated to flourish under the guidance of defensive coordinator Chris Marve and Pry. In a previous interview with 247Sports, Edwards recounted a discussion he had with former Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster, an authority on the program’s esteemed defensive traditions.

During his junior year at Trinity Episcopal School last autumn, Edwards showcased his prowess with 33 tackles, three interceptions (including one returned for a touchdown), and 14 pass breakups.

Ahead of his official announcement, Edwards has scheduled a visit to Michigan State from June 14-16, providing one final opportunity for the Spartans to sway his decision.
