Head coach Hilary Ritchie has introduced the latest addition to the 2024-25 roster, transfer Zuzanna Frankowska, in an announcement made on Thursday afternoon. Frankowska, who joins the team from Baylor after completing her freshman season, brings her experience and skills “On The Banks”.
Ritchie expressed her enthusiasm about Frankowska joining the RU tennis family, highlighting her year of collegiate tennis experience and expressing anticipation for the positive impact she’ll bring to the team while nurturing her growth in the sport.
Originally from Kobylka, Poland, Frankowska gained valuable exposure in the Big 12 during her freshman year. Notably, she competed in two singles matches at the No. 5 spot and secured a doubles victory against Iowa State. Her collegiate debut took place at the TCU Invitational in fall 2023, where she claimed victories in singles against Kansas and Illinois. She also had success at the Big 12 Fall Invitational, clinching both singles and doubles wins against opponents from Cincinnati.
Before her time at Baylor, Frankowska contributed to her team’s success at the 2022 Team Polish Championships with CKT Grodzisk Mazowiecki. Additionally, she won the U18 Polish Doubles Championship title in the summer of 2021, following a singles runner-up finish the previous winter.
Frankowska’s achievements also include winning the Women’s Polish Cup in 2022 and achieving multiple top-three finishes in the Polish championships as a junior player. She attended high school at Sopot Tennis Academy.
