Kansas State Wildcats Boost Defense By Landing Another Blockbuster Deal With Another Team

Chris Klieman and Kansas State’s football team have secured another transfer addition. Jordan Dunbar, a 6-foot, 190-pound defensive back from Rice University, has committed to joining the Wildcats. This news was confirmed by a source within the K-State football program on Friday, following reports from both On3 and 247Sports.

Dunbar opted for K-State over offers from Marshall, Western Kentucky, Temple, East Carolina, UNLV, Georgia Southern, and others. He will make his way to Manhattan after completing his collegiate football tenure at Rice, where he accrued 54 tackles and defended 17 passes over two seasons.

Despite missing the previous season due to a redshirt, Dunbar demonstrated enough skill as an underclassman to earn honorable mention recognition from Conference USA during his sophomore year. Now, he seeks to revitalize his career in the Big 12 conference.

Upon joining K-State as a junior, Dunbar will have two remaining years of eligibility. He is anticipated to vie for playing time in the Wildcats’ secondary, potentially offering valuable experience and depth behind projected starting cornerbacks Keenan Garber and Jacob Parrish.
