Oregon State had a successful weekend hosting several prospects on official visits, including two offensive linemen from Nebraska. Ren Brown, one of the Nebraskan prospects, had his first official visit and thoroughly enjoyed his time in Corvallis. He described the experience as “amazing,” praising the beauty of the area and the warmth of the people.
Brown, a 6-foot-6, 270-pound offensive tackle from Stanton, Nebraska, had a positive interaction with Kyle DeVan, who has been handling his recruitment. Brown spoke highly of DeVan, both as a person and as a coach.
During his visit, Brown was particularly impressed by the confidence of the coaching staff, who emphasized the uniqueness of Oregon State despite challenges in college football. He appreciated their resilience and work ethic in the face of adversity.
Spending time with the current Beaver offensive linemen was a highlight for Brown, as he got to engage with them and discuss their thoughts on Beaver Football. Among the players he connected with were Nate Elu, Jacob Strand, Zander Esty, and Luka Vincic, all of whom he found to be great individuals.
Brown has set a commitment date for June 25th and plans to take one more official visit to Texas Tech. For the latest updates on Oregon State’s recruiting efforts for the class of 2025, subscribers can follow Angie Machado and Jake Hedberg on BeaverBlitz.
