The 2024-25 Runnin’ Utes are starting to come together after experiencing some turbulence just a few weeks ago.
Craig Smith and his team have secured another significant transfer commitment, this time from former San Francisco forward, Mike Sharavjamts.
Sharavjamts joins the Utes as a highly regarded four-star transfer prospect, marking the third four-star addition for Smith in this recruiting class.
Beginning his collegiate journey at Dayton, Sharavjamts later transferred to San Francisco for the 2023-24 season.
During his freshman year, Sharavjamts posted averages of 5.6 points, 2.6 assists, and 1.9 rebounds per game, seeing action in 32 games with about 23 minutes per game.
In his sophomore season, Sharavjamts played in 34 games and improved his averages to 7.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, with around 25 minutes per game.
Notably, Sharavjamts enhanced his three-point shooting from 31% to 36% between his freshman and sophomore years, indicating further potential for growth.
With his blend of size and athleticism, Sharavjamts provides the Utes with versatility, capable of filling various roles as needed.
Utah secured Sharavjamts’ commitment over competition from schools like Cal, St. Mary’s, and Kansas State for the 2024-25 college basketball season.
As the sixth addition to the recruiting class, Sharavjamts brings two years of eligibility along with the option for a redshirt year if required.
Sharavjamts joins other transfers Keanu Dawes, Mason Madsen, Zach Keller, Miro Little, and Ezra Ausar as Utah prepares for their inaugural season in the Big 12 conference.
With three remaining scholarship spots to fill and one more assistant coaching position available, Utah’s roster and coaching staff are nearing completion.
