Texas Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt recently announced the commencement of a search for a new head softball coach following the resignation of Craig Snider after two seasons. Snider conveyed his decision to Hocutt on Saturday evening, revealing that he has accepted a position at another university.
Hocutt expressed the university’s commitment to contending for Big 12 Championships and emphasized the potential of the young and talented roster to build upon the achievements of the past season and vie for championships.
He highlighted the importance of finding a leader who is dedicated to the holistic development of student-athletes both on and off the field, with the goal of taking the program to new heights. The search for the next head coach has already commenced.
Under Snider’s tenure, Texas Tech amassed a record of 60-43, with a 29-21 mark in the most recent spring season, narrowly missing out on the NCAA postseason.
