BREAKING: Beavers Set To Land Another Great Commitment of a Top Talented Star.

Oregon State was the pick for Oakland (Calif.) Castlemont receiver Ellijah Washington.

Washington took his official visit to Oregon State over the weekend and after naming a top three that also included Arizona and Cal, he didn’t see the need to make any other visits and picked the Beavers.

“My biggest reason was my relationship with coach Kefense (Hynson) and the rest of the coaching staff,” said Washington. “They really made me feel at home.”

Upon his arrival in Corvallis, Ellijah Washington immediately felt a sense of belonging.

“As soon as I got there, I knew it was the right place for me,” said Washington. “The warmth and support they showed, along with their willingness to address all my inquiries about the school, reassured me that I had found my home.”

During a one-on-one meeting with head coach Trent Bray and Kefense Hynson, Ellijah Washington expressed his commitment to join the team.

“I let coach Bray and Kefense know that I wanted to commit, and they were fully supportive of my decision,” Washington confirmed.

The coaches at Oregon State University played a crucial part in Ellijah Washington’s commitment decision.”They were instrumental because they have a clear vision for how I fit into the team and how my skills can contribute,” said Washington.During his visit, Washington was accompanied by his father, Ed Washington, who also serves as his head coach.

“My family was fully behind my decision,” Washington shared. “I brought my father and uncle along to get their input, and they were incredibly supportive.”Despite having the option to stay close to home in the Bay Area, Washington felt no reservations about leaving.

“The distance didn’t bother me at all; I’ve never been concerned about leaving home,” he explained.Washington plans to be a mid-year enrollee at Oregon State.And with his decision done, he’s happy to have that off his chest.

“It’s good, now I can just focus on this upcoming season and keep perfecting my skill set,” said Washington.

A three-star in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings, Washington is the No. 102 athlete nationally and the No. 90 prospect in California in 2025.
