Virginia Tech gets a Commitment of Another Talented Star

Sunday became a bustling day on the recruitment path for Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry. Later in the day, the Hokies faced disappointment as they missed out on securing the commitment of four-star safety Faheem Delane, the younger brother of current Hokie Faheem, who instead chose to commit to Ohio State under Ryan Day, a move that wasn’t unexpected.

However, there was a positive development for Pry and his team, as Virginia Tech received a commitment from a three-star safety from their home state in the Class of 2025.

“My parents have been telling me to keep God in my decision throughout my recruiting process and I believe God has led me to commit to VT. Also, I want to play for Coach P-Lo (Pierson Prioleau) because he has been where I want to go. He played in the NFL for 12-13 years and can help develop me to get there.”

BREAKING: Sheldon Robinson commits to Virginia Tech over Virginia, others

Sheldon Robinson commits to Virginia Tech
Pry has been making a dent within the state of Virginia in recruiting lately and that continued Sunday when three-star Class of 2025 safety Sheldon Robinson of Woodberry Forest committed to Virginia Tech over Virginia, Vanderbilt, and Duke to name a few.

Pry’s continued dedication to recruiting in Virginia paid off once more, as Robinson ultimately chose Virginia Tech over offers from Virginia, Vanderbilt, and Duke. With an impressive track record of 60 tackles and six interceptions in 2023 as a junior, Robinson’s commitment further solidifies Virginia Tech’s recruiting class for 2025. Ranked as the 39th safety nationally and the 16th player in Virginia for his class by 247Sports, his decision underscores Pry’s significant influence in recruiting efforts within the Commonwealth.
