The Utes have been actively pursuing Motuapuaka for some time and have been viewed as the top choice in his recruitment. Coach Lewis Powell led the recruiting efforts with Luther Elliss also playing a significant role.
Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 260 pounds, Motuapuaka is a stout defensive tackle for Bishop Gorman. Despite his size, he possesses impressive athleticism that bodes well for his future at the next level. Known for his relentless work ethic and high-energy play, he is a valuable addition to the team.
With Motuapuaka’s commitment, he becomes the fourth player to join the 2025 class, the second on defense and the second defensive lineman, alongside quarterbacks Wyatt Becker and Shaker Reisig, as well as tight end/defensive end Nela Tupou. Utah’s early success in securing commitments signals a promising start to their recruiting efforts this cycle, as they begin to gain momentum on the recruiting trail.
