Another Promising Star Lands Commitment With Gophers

GopherIllustrated reached out to Minnesota defensive line commit Colin Hansen’s high school head coach at Byron in Ben Halder to learn more about Minnesota’s new defensive line commit.

GopherIllustrated: What can you tell me about Colin as a player and as a person off the field?

Ben Halder: Colin is a super athlete. Add to that he has an unbelievable frame at 6’7 240. They don’t make many kids that size to begin with and when you add the athleticism it makes him an unbelievable talent. He has a really great work ethic and is super coachable. He has a real nasty streak to him on the field and the mental capacity and make up to be a great defensive end.

Off the field, Colin Hansen is described as an exemplary young man by his high school head coach, Ben Halder. Hansen demonstrates a selfless attitude, always willing to serve others and prioritize the team’s needs over his own. He excels academically, serves as a leader within both the team and the school district, and is beloved by younger students for his positive demeanor and interaction with them.
