Rutger standout star player undergoes knee procedure, expected to miss 4-6 weeks

Rutgers is gearing up for the start of summer practices but will be missing a key addition to their team lineup. Dylan Harper will be sidelined temporarily after undergoing what head coach Steve Pikiell described as a “voluntary procedure” on his right knee, as reported by several sources including Jerry Carino of the Asbury Park Press.

Coach Pikiell stated on Friday, “Dylan Harper underwent a successful voluntary procedure on his knee. He will not participate in practice for the next 4-6 weeks but will be involved in all team activities.”

Harper, who is one of the standout recruits joining Rutgers along with Ace Bailey, dealt with knee issues that affected his playing time during the high school season. However, he managed to return towards the end of the season, helping Don Bosco Prep secure a state championship. Harper arrived on campus last Friday and has been observed moving around.

The Scarlet Knights’ summer practices are set to commence on Saturday and will continue through August 9th. Despite his recent knee procedure, Dylan Harper will be actively participating in all team activities during this period. There is optimism that Harper will not face any further absences once full practices resume in September.
