Parker’s addition is the Wolverines’ second commitment in two days.
Michigan’s recruiting momentum continues to build as it secured another significant commitment for their 2025 class. This time, the Wolverines landed three-star running back Jasper Parker.
Jasper Parker announced his commitment on Saturday evening during his official visit to Ann Arbor, marking a successful conclusion to a significant recruiting weekend for Sherrone Moore and Michigan football.
Coming from Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero, Louisiana, Parker becomes the eighth recruit to commit to Michigan’s 2025 class. His commitment follows closely after four-star defensive back Kainoa Winston’s pledge to the Wolverines just a day earlier.
Parker opted for Michigan despite receiving offers from prominent programs like Miami, Alabama, North Carolina, Oregon, and Penn State. His decision was influenced by a visit from Michigan’s new running backs coach, Tony Alford, who made a trip to Louisiana in May specifically to meet with Parker.

Parker is currently ranked as the nation’s No. 440 overall prospect on 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is also rated as the No. 32 running back and the No. 14 recruit from Louisiana for the 2025 recruiting cycle.
This commitment represents another notable achievement for Michigan’s new coaching staff as they forge ahead in building a competitive team for the future.
