The Scarlet Knights land another in-state product
Greg Schiano continues to prioritize keeping homegrown talent in New Jersey.
On Saturday, four-star running back John Forster announced his commitment to Rutgers. Forster held a total of 19 offers from the likes of Wisconsin, Penn State, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech.
According to 247Sports, Forster is presently ranked as the 13th best player overall in New Jersey and the 31st running back nationally.
Forster, who shines at St. Joseph Regional in Montvale, becomes the third New Jersey recruit to commit to Rutgers in the past week. The Scarlet Knights recently secured offensive lineman Jaelyne Matthews, who became the top-rated prospect in their 2025 class upon commitment, and wide receiver Michael Thomas III from Donovan Catholic.
