Rutgers Football is maintaining a successful recruiting trend in the southern region.
Today, Rutgers bolstered their defense by securing a commitment from three-star edge rusher Canaan Edwards, hailing from Fairburn, Georgia.
Canaan is presently ranked as the 70th top edge rusher in his class and the 106th best player in Georgia. Standing at 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds, there’s a significant chance he could be requested to change positions because of his size.

With Canaan’s commitment, the Knights now boast 27 commits, leading all other schools in the nation in total commitments. Rutgers’ 2025 recruiting class currently holds the 10th national ranking.
