Pritzlaff Named Head Coach at Columbia

Donny Pritzlaff, who has served as the associate head coach for Rutgers wrestling since 2014, will be taking on the role of head coach at Columbia University, as announced earlier this week. Under his tenure at Rutgers, Pritzlaff played a pivotal role in elevating the program to national prominence, contributing to their success over the past decade.

Rutgers head coach Scott Goodale expressed gratitude for Pritzlaff’s contributions, highlighting his role in achieving milestones such as NCAA titles and Big Ten championships. Pritzlaff’s departure marks the beginning of a national search for his replacement at Rutgers.

During his time at Rutgers, Pritzlaff’s impact was substantial, including the development of NCAA champions, Big Ten title holders, and numerous All-Americans. His coaching was instrumental in securing dual victories and conference accolades for the Scarlet Knights.

Pritzlaff’s coaching prowess was evident in his support during NCAA Championship matches and his role in recruiting top talent, culminating in Rutgers’ highest-rated recruiting class in over a decade.
