Texas Tech picked up a commitment from 2025 three-star offensive lineman Garin Maley, who announced his pledge via social media Sunday after taking an official visit over the weekend.
Texas Tech secured a commitment from Garin Maley, a three-star offensive lineman from Papillion-La Vista High School in Nebraska, who announced his decision via social media following an official visit over the weekend. Maley expressed a strong sense of comfort and connection with Texas Tech, highlighting his positive interactions with the coaching staff and players during the visit.
“I had a feeling that I didn’t have at any of the other schools, it just felt right,” Maley remarked. “Talking with all of the coaches and hanging with all of the players was super important to me. I felt like a priority and I fit well with their offense.”
Maley credited the influence of offensive line coach Joey McGuire and assistant coach Clay McGuire, who were present when he made his commitment. He also praised Jackson Kimble, the offensive line graduate assistant, and Daniel Sill, the redshirt freshman lineman who hosted him during the visit, for their roles in helping him feel welcomed and informed about the program.

Describing his playing style, Maley emphasized his elite athleticism, football intelligence, and relentless competitiveness on the field. He plans to enroll at Texas Tech next summer after completing his senior basketball season.
Maley becomes the second offensive lineman and the 15th overall recruit to commit to Texas Tech’s 2025 recruiting class, showcasing the Red Raiders’ ongoing efforts to bolster their roster under head coach Joey McGuire.
