The Virginia Tech Hokies are experiencing a successful streak. Following an eventful recruiting weekend in Blacksburg, head coach Brent Pry secured three commitments, including two on Sunday. With several key prospects preparing to announce their decisions in the coming weeks, Hokie supporters are eagerly anticipating more positive developments.
On Monday afternoon, Virginia Tech received another commitment for the 2025 season, this time from Zeke Chinwike, a defensive end from Green Run High School in Virginia Beach, Va. Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 240 pounds, Chinwike previously played three seasons at Ocean Lakes High School before transferring to Green Run for his senior year.
Chinwike becomes Virginia Tech’s third commitment from Green Run for the 2025 class, joining cornerback Knahlij Harrell and wide receiver Jaylen Anderson. Together with Keylen “Brodie” Adams, one of Tech’s top commitments for 2024 who may see playing time this fall, they bolster an impressive recruiting haul.

Although 247Sports rates Chinwike as a three-star recruit, his size, athleticism, and potential suggest he’s a promising prospect. There’s room for him to develop physically upon joining the Hokies, and he won’t be rushed into immediate action.
This acquisition reflects well on Pry, Fontel Mines, and J.C. Price. Chinwike marks the 10th commitment in Virginia Tech’s 2025 class, and notably, he’s their first edge rusher and the second defensive lineman after Christian Evans committed last week.
