Utah women’s basketball head coach Lynne Roberts has signed a contract extension that keeps her with the team through the 2030 season. This decision follows Utah’s impressive 23-11 record and a second-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament last season, prompting Utah Athletics to extend Roberts’ tenure in Salt Lake City.
Mark Harlan, Utah Athletics Director, praised Roberts in a press release, highlighting her leadership and coaching prowess over the past nine seasons. He expressed excitement about extending her contract for an additional three seasons, noting her success in achieving three consecutive NCAA tournament appearances and her positive impact on the team’s fan base and community engagement.
Harlan emphasized Roberts’ readiness to lead the program into the competitive environment of the Big 12 Conference, aiming to recruit top student-athletes and compete for championships and NCAA tournament berths.
