The recruitment frenzy is in full swing as top high school players across the nation are courted with lavish attention. The USC Trojans are no exception, experiencing both gains and losses during this hectic period. Recently, they received some positive news: offensive tackle Carde Smith has decided to rescind his commitment to Auburn.
USC football is now actively pursuing the Mobile, Alabama native. Despite Auburn’s earlier offer to Smith nine months ago, USC only extended a scholarship offer a little over a month ago. Following his visit to USC on June 21st, Smith swiftly chose to withdraw his commitment to Auburn less than a week later.
