The USC Trojans’ 2025 recruiting class received a significant boost on Tuesday with the commitment of Elijah Vaikona, a 6-foot-8, 370-pound offensive lineman.
Elijah Vaikona ”Since childhood, USC has been my favorite team” . Despite his imposing size, Vaikona flew under the radar in recruiting circles until this spring, when his active participation in camps sparked increased interest. USC’s offensive line coach, Josh Henson, witnessed Vaikona’s performance at a summer camp and promptly offered him a place on the team.
Vaikona is set to continue a family tradition at USC as a fourth-generation Trojan, though Lincoln Riley and his team faced stiff competition from UCLA and Washington, who were also among Vaikona’s top choices.
USC aims to build upon recent successes with offensive line recruits, aiming for a third consecutive robust class in that position. Vaikona is the second commitment for USC’s offensive line in the 2025 class, alongside future center Willi Wascher. The Trojans are actively pursuing other top offensive tackle prospects, including four-star recruits Malachi Goodman, Carde Smith, Nick Brooks, and Aaron Dunn.
