The Cincinnati Bengals have officially announced the newest additions to their Ring of Honor: running back Corey Dillon and nose tackle Tim Krumrie. Both players will be formally inducted during halftime of the Bengals’ game against the Washington Commanders on September 23.
Corey Dillon holds several franchise records, including being the Bengals’ all-time leading rusher with 8,061 yards and the most rushing attempts in team history (1,865). His memorable 96-yard touchdown run against the Detroit Lions in 2001 remains the longest in Bengals history. Dillon was also a three-time Pro Bowler during his tenure with the Bengals.
Tim Krumrie, known for his prolific tackling ability, amassed 1,008 solo tackles during his Bengals career, a record that stands unmatched in team history. He also contributed 34.5 sacks and 13 fumble recoveries. Krumrie earned two Pro Bowl selections while playing for Cincinnati.
Both Dillon and Krumrie were integral members of the Bengals’ 50th Anniversary Team, further highlighting their impact on the franchise. Their induction into the Ring of Honor underscores their significant contributions and solidifies their place among Bengals legends.
The Bengals’ Ring of Honor celebrates individuals who have made lasting impacts on the franchise’s history, recognizing their achievements such as Pro Bowl selections, team records, and overall contributions. Inductees are chosen through a voting process involving Bengals season ticket members and suite holders.
Dillon and Krumrie will join an esteemed group that includes Pro Football Hall of Famers and other Bengals greats such as Anthony Muñoz, Paul Brown, Chad Johnson, Ken Riley, Ken Anderson, Willie Anderson, Isaac Curtis, and Boomer Esiason.
