Wife Of Yankees Exec Found Dead In NJ Home
Officials are investigating the death of Rachel Minaya, 55, who was found dead in her Bergen County home on Saturday. She is the wife of Omar Minaya, the former New York Mets general manager and a current executive with the Yankees. He was reportedly not home at the time.

According to The New York Post, suicide has been ruled out as the cause of Rachel Minaya’s death. Omar Minaya was reportedly not at home when his wife passed away, according to Fox News.
Omar Minaya, aged 65, began his career as a baseball player drafted by the Oakland Athletics in 1978. He served as assistant general manager of the New York Mets from 1998 to 2001 and made history in 2002 as the first Hispanic general manager in MLB with the Montreal Expos. He later returned to the Mets as general manager in September 2004.
