Braves manager Brian Snitker has announced the return date for Michael Harris II.
The Braves are kicking off a four-game series in San Francisco against the Giants tonight. However, before the series concludes, Michael Harris II is set to make his return.
Harris, the former Rookie of the Year, will come off the 60-day injured list on Wednesday, as confirmed by Brian Snitker before Monday’s game.
The Braves have been missing Harris since June 14, and his return could provide a boost to a lineup that has struggled with consistency this season. The team hopes his presence will stabilize their offense, though he’ll need to quickly get back up to speed.
Fortunately, Harris seems poised to make an impact right away. During his rehab assignment, he’s recorded ten hits, including a home run, in 23 at-bats for the Stripers, with a .500 on-base percentage.
Starting Wednesday night, the Braves will position Jorge Soler as the everyday right fielder, Michael Harris in center field, and will rotate Jarred Kelenic and Adam Duvall in left field.
