LSU secured a commitment from three-star tight end Mike Tyler, who shared the news on social media Saturday.
Tyler is ranked as the 31st tight end and the 597th overall player nationally for the Class of 2025, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He plays for Hammond High in Columbia, South Carolina, where he is the 12th-ranked player in the state.
He chose the Tigers over offers from Duke, West Virginia, NC State, and South Carolina.
Tyler is the second tight end to commit to LSU’s 2025 class, joining four-star recruit John David LaFleur. He also becomes the 23rd player to commit to the Tigers and the fifth pass-catcher.
This summer, LSU has garnered 12 commitments from the Class of 2025, with four coming this month. Prior to Tyler’s commitment, three-star defensive lineman Dilan Battle was the Tigers’ latest recruit.
Before Tyler’s announcement, LSU held the No. 3 recruiting class ranking in the nation.
