Texas Tech kicked off their 2026 recruiting class with a strong start by securing a commitment from four-star linebacker Tieson Ejiawoko of Georgetown (TX) East View. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound junior shared his decision to join the Red Raiders via social media on Friday night.
Ejiawoko received an offer from Texas Tech in January and visited the campus for a pool party event last month.
“It was a great experience,” Ejiawoko told ITRR about his visit. “I really enjoyed spending the day with the coaching staff. They were very welcoming, and I was impressed by the program and facilities. I had a fantastic time in Lubbock and definitely plan to attend a game this season.”
He added, “I had many conversations with Coach Bookbinder and felt a strong connection while building a relationship. The hospitality and facilities were remarkable. It’s an incredible experience to be part of.”
Ranked as a three-star recruit and the No. 23 linebacker in the country, Ejiawoko is also the No. 39 overall recruit in Texas for the 2026 class according to 247Sports.
