Luke Stuewe is the son of former Virginia Tech WR Michael Stuewe.
For the second time in three days, the Virginia Tech Hokies have bolstered their 2025 recruiting class with a notable addition. On Friday, the Hokies secured a commitment from four-star wide receiver Snook Peterkin.
This Sunday, the Hokies welcomed another promising prospect: three-star athlete Luke Stuewe, a familiar name for longtime Virginia Tech supporters. Stuewe is the son of former Hokies wide receiver Michael Stuewe, who played at Virginia Tech from 1994 to 1997. Michael Stuewe was a starting receiver, appearing in 32 games and amassing 53 receptions for 689 yards and five touchdowns during his college career.

Luke Stuewe plays high school football at Avon Lake High School in Avon Lake, Ohio. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 195 pounds, he is versatile enough to play either wide receiver or safety at the collegiate level.
Virginia Tech extended an offer to Stuewe last summer, impressed by his speed and athleticism. Although Stuewe missed a significant part of his junior season due to injury, which may have impacted his recruitment, his legacy and talent made him a strong addition.
Stuewe’s commitment marks the 17th addition to Virginia Tech’s 2025 recruiting class.
Welcome home, Luke.
