Quarterback Mike White didn’t stay unemployed for long after being released by the Dolphins, and he remains within the AFC East.
White has agreed to join the Bills’ practice squad, as reported by several sources.
The 29-year-old White was first drafted by the Cowboys in 2018. He spent four seasons with the Jets and one with the Dolphins, making seven NFL starts, all with the Jets.
In Buffalo, White will be the third-string quarterback, behind Josh Allen and Mitch Trubisky. With Trubisky dealing with a knee injury from the preseason, his status for the Week One game against the Cardinals is uncertain, which means White might be elevated to the active roster as Allen’s backup for the opener.
Mike White’s path through the AFC East will continue with the Bills.
