As the 2024 NFL season approaches, some are skeptical about the Buffalo Bills, particularly after the offseason trade of All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Despite this, Bills quarterback Josh Allen remains optimistic.
Allen expressed his enthusiasm for the team he’s working with, emphasizing that “the Super Bowl is the No. 1 thing” they aim to achieve, according to SiriusXM NFL Radio.
Diggs, who had been Allen’s top target for the past four years, made multiple Pro Bowls and consistently exceeded 1,180 receiving yards and eight touchdowns per season. However, ongoing reports of dissatisfaction led to his trade to the Houston Texans.
Additionally, the Bills lost their second wide receiver, Gabriel Davis, to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency. Their current receiving corps includes young talents like Khalil Shakir and rookie Keon Coleman, along with veterans Mack Hollins, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Curtis Samuel, who have not yet fully impressed.
With these changes, the Bills may rely even more heavily on Allen, who will need to deliver another MVP-caliber performance. Last season, he threw for 4,306 yards and 29 touchdowns while also rushing for 524 yards and 15 touchdowns.
The Bills are eager to end their long wait for a Super Bowl victory, having lost in four consecutive Super Bowl appearances during the 1990s and looking to make a return to the big game.
