Major Move! Virginia Tech heads to new destination as they commit another talented four star player

Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry has made progress in recruiting within Virginia since his arrival in Blacksburg. This improvement has taken time, as the former Penn State defensive coordinator has been working to rebuild relationships with high school coaches that were strained during Justin Fuente’s tenure.

For the Class of 2025, the Hokies have secured 10 commitments from Virginia, with several promising prospects, despite the recent loss of four-star Matthew Outten, who chose to commit to Penn State on September 2. In the Class of 2026, Virginia Tech has already received a commitment from quarterback Peyton Falzone, a four-star recruit from Pennsylvania.

The Hokies are actively pursuing many recruits in the Class of 2026, including one who recently showcased an impressive one-handed catch after receiving an offer from the team.

Virginia Tech football recruit Andre Clarke makes insane one-handed catch

Early in Brent Pry’s time in Blacksburg, the Hokies offered a scholarship to Andre Clarke from Richmond. The Hermitage High School athlete, who plays cornerback, recently made an incredible one-handed catch during a game off a tipped pass on a deep throw.

That was an impressive one-handed catch off the tipped pass. Another takeaway from the video is that the quarterback has a strong arm and delivers an excellent deep ball.

Clarke is a highly sought-after recruit, holding nearly three dozen offers. Notable programs that have extended offers include Virginia, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Florida State, Syracuse, Miami, North Carolina State, Kentucky, SMU, Penn State, Tennessee, Ohio State, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Minnesota, and most recently, Wisconsin.

As recruiting for the Class of 2026 heats up in the coming months, Clarke is definitely a name to watch. His remarkable catch clearly demonstrates why he is in such high demand for the future.
