Blockbuster Trade Proposal Secures $100 Million Asset for QB Josh Allen with Bills

After five games this season, the Buffalo Bills sit at 25th in the NFL for passing offense. While the departure of All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs has impacted their production, a significant factor is the lack of a true No. 1 receiver for quarterback Josh Allen, who hasn’t yet established strong connections with his targets.

Reports suggest the Bills are seeking to bolster their receiving corps, with Las Vegas Raiders wideout Davante Adams being a notable name linked to the team. However, a more viable option might be Cleveland Browns WR Amari Cooper, as proposed by CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin.

He mentioned that the Browns might be willing to cover part of Cooper’s contract to accommodate a player who seems less engaged. “Josh Allen would surely agree if it meant acquiring a legitimate No. 1 receiver,” Benjamin noted.

Currently, Buffalo’s leading receiver, Khalil Shakir, has 18 catches on 19 targets for 230 yards and two touchdowns. Following him, the team’s second- and third-leading receivers are tight end Dalton Kincaid and running back James Cook. While players like Curtis Samuel, Keon Coleman, and Mack Hollins have contributed, no receiver has reached 100 yards in a game this year, and only two have exceeded 60 yards.

Adding a player of Cooper’s caliber would provide the Bills’ passing game with the much-needed explosiveness. Last season, the five-time Pro Bowler amassed 1,250 yards, averaging 17.4 yards per reception, and ranked second in the league with eight catches of 40 or more yards, and 10th with 21 receptions of 20 or more yards.
