Tucker Kraft is having a standout season with the Green Bay Packers, despite facing several injuries.
Concerns arose when Kraft was added to the injury report mid-week, specifically on Thursday, due to a groin issue, which raised further worries since he was already managing a shoulder injury.
However, there’s positive news: Kraft practiced on Friday and is expected to be ready to play, according to head coach Matt LaFleur.
His presence is crucial, especially now that Luke Musgrave is sidelined for an extended period. LaFleur announced that Musgrave will be placed on injured reserve, meaning he’ll miss at least four games. This makes Kraft even more vital to the Packers’ offensive lineup.
The Packers will be without Devonte Wyatt for another week, and Luke Musgrave is out indefinitely, adding to their injury concerns as they head into Week 6.
On Friday, left tackle Rasheed Walker was added to the injury report with a knee issue and is now listed as questionable. Jordan Morgan, who could step in if Walker is unavailable, is also questionable. If needed, Andre Dillard or Kadeem Telfort may be called up to play.
Additionally, Jaire Alexander, Christian Watson, and Arron Mosby are all listed as questionable. Alexander is still dealing with a groin injury that has sidelined him for two games, while Watson’s availability is uncertain despite his progress this week.
On a positive note, head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that wide receiver Romeo Doubs will return this week after serving a one-game suspension.
The practice squad call-ups on Saturday will provide more clarity on which questionable players will be ready for the game. The hope is to have both Alexander and Watson back in action.
Walker’s situation is particularly noteworthy. The Packers have faced numerous practice injuries this season, and Walker’s absence could be significant. He has been performing well as the starting left tackle, despite some penalties.
It’s hoped that his injury isn’t serious, but he is currently listed as questionable. If he can’t play, either Dillard or Telfort would likely start, especially since Morgan is also recovering from a shoulder injury and has primarily played guard since training camp.
