LSU football’s future appears promising as they work on assembling one of the top recruiting classes for 2025. The team recently announced the addition of another key player to their incoming freshman class: four-star defensive back Jacob Bradford.
Concluding a prolonged recruiting journey, Bradford committed to his local school, LSU, in October, according to On3 Sports. Hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he opted for LSU over offers from Georgia Tech, Arizona State, and Texas Tech.
Although Bradford is considered a four-star recruit by some sites, others rank him as low as a three-star. Nonetheless, he is joining LSU’s impressive 2025 recruiting class, which is currently ranked fourth in the nation, trailing only Ohio State, Alabama, and Auburn.
One of Bradford’s standout attributes is his physical stature; he stands six feet tall and weighs 195 pounds. He becomes the fifth defensive back to commit to LSU’s incoming freshman class.
At the time of Bradford’s commitment, LSU held a 4-1 record for 2024 and was on a four-game winning streak entering Week 7, following a season-opening loss to USC. His potential addition to the Tiger defense would be particularly beneficial, as the team is currently allowing over 20 points per game despite their recent successes.
