Grant Polk, a 6-7 shooter from Washington, D.C., is regarded as an outstanding outside scorer, and South Carolina coach Lamont Paris has secured his commitment to enhance his future offensive strategy.
Polk visited USC during the Ole Miss football weekend and also toured Florida Gulf Coast. He received offers from several schools, including Fairfield, Iona, Canisius, Youngstown State, Morehead State, George Washington, and New Jersey Tech.
Playing for St. Albans in D.C., Polk averaged 19 points and 6 rebounds per game last season, impressively sinking 87 three-pointers.
“I’m not being cocky, but I believe I’m one of the best shooters in the country,” Polk remarked last month. “I’m really efficient at making shots, and my height definitely gives me an advantage.”
He appreciates Coach Paris’s coaching style, saying, “He allows players to excel at what they do best without interference. There’s no rigid offense; they just play good basketball. Coach Paris emphasizes a passing game over dribbling, creating ample spacing.”
Polk’s commitment marks the fourth addition to South Carolina’s 2025 recruiting class.
