Breaking: Kansas state lands another blockbuster commitment of a talented player from a good team

Freshly released on Wednesday, the Top247 for 2025 has been updated, bringing good news for K-State and one specific commitment.

Safety commit Noah King has surged from an 88 rating and ranking of 703rd in the nation to an impressive No. 216 overall, now holding a 91 rating and four-star status from 247Sports.

“It feels amazing,” King said in a message upon hearing the news. “Honestly, this kind of recognition doesn’t happen often where I’m from, and it truly reflects that the hard work is paying off.”

“Still, I believe I am one of the top cornerbacks/safeties/athletes in the country, so I’m not finished yet! I appreciate the recognition, though.”

A 6-foot-3 defensive back from Hamilton, Ohio, located about 40 minutes north of Cincinnati, King committed to K-State in late July after attending one of the program’s final Elite Camps during his unofficial visit.

“The culture of the football team and the staff really stood out to me,” King mentioned when he announced his commitment. “Everyone treated me well. Coach Klieman’s emphasis on defensive backs, since he used to coach them, and Coach Klanderman’s exceptional knowledge of the game were also key factors.”

King, who boasts 4.4 speed and excellent deep-range coverage, may start his career at free safety. As a newly ranked Top 10 player in Ohio, he will return to Manhattan next weekend for his official visit during the Sunflower Showdown. He’ll be joining several other commitments, including Linkon Cure, who, despite dropping from No. 26 to No. 32 nationally, remains a five-star prospect and the last player to earn that ranking on the list.

Regarding King and Ohio, another K-State target, Dawayne Galloway, has dropped out of the new Top247 rankings but still retains his four-star status. The former Purdue commit is planning a visit to Manhattan.

“Hopefully soon,” Galloway told GPC. “I’d love to team up with my buddy Noah.”

The only other change in K-State’s class rankings is RJ Collins, who has improved to an 87 rating, making him the 6th best addition for the Wildcats in 2025.

On the local front, Andrew Babalola has moved up from 15th to 11th nationally, Jayden Woods has surged from 172nd to 75th, Dawson Merritt has dropped from 64th to 85th, and Da’Saahn Brame has inched up from 103rd to 101st in the country.
