The Buffalo Bills are looking to improve their record to 5-2 this Sunday as they host the Tennessee Titans. After last week’s victory, they have solidified their position as the top team in the AFC East after six games.
A significant factor in their success this season has been Josh Allen, who continues to demonstrate that he is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the league.
In what will be his 100th career start, Allen has the opportunity to surpass superstar Patrick Mahomes in a key early-career statistic. If he throws four touchdowns on Sunday, he will exceed Mahomes’ total of 238 touchdowns through 100 starts. If he somehow scores seven touchdowns, he would break Aaron Rodgers’ all-time record for touchdowns in that span.
Even matching Mahomes’ total would be an impressive achievement, especially since many consider Mahomes to be in a league of his own among quarterbacks, given his three Super Bowl titles. Nonetheless, Allen has been able to keep pace with him in scoring and statistics.
Despite these impressive accomplishments, Allen has only been named a two-time Pro Bowler and a one-time second-team All-Pro over six seasons. With the MVP race still open, he has a chance to prove his doubters wrong this year in both the regular season and playoffs.
