The Bills might have just received a huge break.
Injuries are an inevitable part of the NFL. Regardless of their severity, no team, player, or fan wants to confront them, yet they will always occur. Recently, wide receivers have been particularly affected, with notable players like Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, and Chris Godwin all dealing with injuries.
The Buffalo Bills have experienced their share of injuries, especially within their defense over the past season and a half. However, they might catch a break heading into their Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Star wide receiver DK Metcalf sustained a knee injury during last week’s victory against the Atlanta Falcons. With just two days until the game, Field Yates reported a significant update: Metcalf is now officially listed as doubtful to play against the Bills.
Buffalo Bills find themselves at a massive advantage
Seahawks WR DK Metcalf is doubtful to play Sunday vs. the Bills.

While Metcalf isn’t the sole player for the Seahawks, he plays a crucial role in their offense. Leading the team with 568 yards and 3 touchdowns, he is a primary target for Geno Smith. Without Metcalf, Smith will likely turn to Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba to carry the passing game.
Although Buffalo’s pass defense has improved this season, not having to prepare for Metcalf will relieve some pressure on them. While the Bills’ secondary has performed well, facing Metcalf would have presented a significant challenge. His presence on the field draws attention from defenders, creating opportunities for other players.
Now, it’s a waiting game to see if Metcalf will be officially ruled out or if he manages to recover in under 48 hours for Seattle.
