With less than two months left until the early signing period, the 2025 recruiting cycle is entering its final stretch—meaning flip season is officially underway.
Many of the top high school football players across the country have announced their commitments, but nothing becomes official until they sign. Keeping that in mind, there have already been some significant decommitments in recent weeks, as players are reopening their recruitments before making a final choice.
In the weeks leading up to the early signing period, we can expect many more decommitments, and we’ll be tracking them here.
Here’s a look at the recent notable decommitments

Decommitted from: North Carolina (flipped to Alabama)
Recruiting Background: Marshall Pritchett, a 6-foot-5, 211-pound tight end from Rabun Gap (Ga.) Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, flipped his commitment from North Carolina to Alabama less than two weeks after receiving a scholarship offer from Kalen DeBoer’s program. Abbreviated Scouting Report: “An athletic tight end prospect with strong ball skills, excelling as a two-level pass catcher. He began his prep career as a quarterback before transitioning to tight end and moving outside. … Demonstrates a high football IQ, effectively exploiting zone coverage, and has shown competitiveness in catch-and-run scenarios.”
