The Buffalo Bills lock horns with the Miami Dolphins at Highmark Stadium on Sunday.
Heading into this matchup, the Bills are on a three-game winning streak and have been performing well on both offense and defense, currently ranked fifth in scoring offense and sixth in scoring defense.
That is a great combination for winning games. Quarterback Josh Allen has played like an MVP connecting on 64.1 percent of his passes while throwing 14 touchdowns to just one interception through eight games.
He has been more patient in the pocket than years past and has only carried the ball 45 times this year. He has made his attempt count, finding the end zone three times on the ground. If Allen can lead the Bills to a top two seed in the AFC, he could very well win the MVP.
On the defensive side, the Bills could use some additional help. Recent rumors suggest that the Carolina Panthers are considering trading edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney, with whom the Bills have a history in their front office dealings.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins are entering this game in a tough spot. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa made his return last week after missing time due to a concussion sustained against the Bills in Week 2. He and the team will be looking to improve their offensive performance, but star receiver Tyreek Hill is listed as questionable for this matchup.
Miami needs to find a rhythm on offense in this game to keep up with the Bills and Allen. They are currently ranked No. 32 in scoring, which is good for dead last in the league.
The Phins defense is in the middle of the pack in yards and points allowed. To slow the Bills offense, they will need to get pressure on Allen.
